My theory on caffeine and hair loss

For a few years now we have been being beaten over the head about how good caffeine in coffee is for us, and also about studies showing it to help regrow hair, now do you know anyone that this worked for.  I can’t even find a legitimate user among the hair forums like hairlosshelp, or hairsite claiming that they owed any regrowth to topical caffeine, and especially to oral consumption.

My beliefs on caffeine are as follows, it may have temporaty brain function benefits, and other bodily functions, but the trade off from good to bad is never even wit addictive supplements, in other words, yes you might be more alert, but with the trade off of negative effects upon your circulatory system.

I feel that humans were designed to live among nature, with moderation and respect, and that will make us our healthier selves!

New hair loss discovery!

Why isn’t anyone talking about the new PGD2 (Prostaglandin D) findings, basically showing that in bald areas of the scalp there is increased amounts pgd2 in the gpr44 receptor.

Apparently it was discovered by Dr. Cotsarelis, here is a video from a national television station discussing the finding!

Of course they predict a remedy in 5 years!  Why is it always 5 years?

Biosil

Hello all, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Biosil as related to Male pattern Baldness.  I’m a diffuse thinner, and from what I am reading online it seems Biosil may have some benefit for me.

Anyone have any results?

Zinc

Many Internet users claim results with Zinc oxide and hair loss sometimes with the inexpensive drugstore cream, zinc oxide, and others with another form of zinc used in topical preparations such as “ZIX”, or “ZICKS”.

  • Zinc Deficiency has been shown to cause hair loss (read more)
  • There has been a patent applied for utilizing zinc oxide cream for hair. (read more)
  • Original recipe for the zix hair loss solution (read more)

Although it is not recommended to jump on every new fad for hair loss, this remedy almost seems worth a shot considering the convenience, and also the economical cost.
